Hello! I'm Samantha. I'm originally from Sapulpa, Oklahoma but I am currently living in Skiatook, Oklahoma. I am 18 years old.

I first heard Disciple after my brother got their self-titled cd about 4 years ago. They were the first real Christian band I really listened to (I say real because I listened to Underoath before Disciple.. But eh, we all know how Underoath is). My first Disciple show was January 17, 2007... The Kross Birthday Bash at The Otherside in Tulsa. I absolutely fell in love with them. Disciple, their lyrics, and Kevin's messages during shows truly changed my life. I have been a Christian since I was very young but had kind of gotten out of it during Elementary. Disciple pulled me back in.

I just saw them for the 18th time on October 20th and will be seeing them a 19th time on November 29th. I have even traveled to Tennessee just to see them play in their home state. I just love these guys!!

To those that didn't see, we have a new member (The Duck) that posted on the previous page!

Welcome, Ms. Ink! Glad to hear you're as avid as the rest of us. Hope you find a home here and have many more posts. It's great to hear how encouraging Disciple is to other people, it just affirms why they're my favorites.

HI!!!!!!!! I'm Janiene. I'm from a very small town in Texas. I actually started listening to Disciple because of
My mom we were both always looking for Christian music and she found one of there Cd's and bought it.
We both love the message that came through the songs we heard. And I've loved disciple ever since my
First Disciple Concert was actually at a festival in a town 45 miles away from where I live. We went for my
14th birthday I remember because I walked into Brad and Joey and stood there and talked to them and after that my mom was like you know they are in disciple right and I was like oh wow guess I didn't pay
That much attention LOL :) I also met Micah that concert Falling Up was also at the Festival My most recent concert was in September. On a personal note I am a music major and I've played Piano since I was 4 :) I
Love adventure !!! Like rock climbing, mountain climbing, cave diving, and hiking. Oh and I love watching
Baseball The Texas Rangers are my team :).

My fav verses are
Exodus 14:14: The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Psalm 45:11a: The King is enthralled with your beauty

Proverbs 31:30: Charm is deceptive beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord should be praised

Romans 5:6: You see at just the right time when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Colossians 1:13: He rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the son
He loves

1 Peter 4:8: Above all else Love deeply for love covers over a multitude of sins.

Welcome, Janiene22!

I've seen you post in a couple of other threads and hope you find a home here among us with Discipleitis!

Glad to hear about how you heard about Disciple, it's always cool to hear these things. And I'm jealous of you being able to play piano, I've always been intimidated by it, so I stick to guitar. Ha ha!

Thats cool, I originally was intimidated by guitar but i kinda just tackled it to the ground and learned how to play by ear. Piano, i didn't want to learn by ear, so I have yet to find someone to teach me... :(

Oh wow! That's amazing Aaron. I bet you're doing a great job with figuring those tunes out.

What you can do if you wanna share or have help is to write in the Tab topic.
I don't know the current dendency but I know that this always has been a really busy part of the boards.
Others might be able to help you or moreover be glad about what you have so far.
And Israel can have a final glance on it =)

Hi my name is Ruth. I was born in Guatemala City. I came to the USA when I was ten years old. Now I live in Moorpark, CA. Not bad for a small town that is in the middle where you can drive up north or south. :D Love it!!!! I was raised in a Christian family. Three years ago I went out with my friend and I had my Spanish radio station on and my friend said no no Ruth listen to this radio station you are going to like it. He changed it to K-life it is a English Christian Station up in San Luis Obispo. I fell in love with that station. Around that time I heard Things Left Unsaid. So touching, strong meaning. I wanted to find out who was the band and I called my friend right away and he told me it was Disciple and that was it. I would listen to their songs on the radio but never bother to find out more about them. March 2009 came and I heard Kutless was going to be in concert with Esterlyn, Stellar Kart and Disciple. I said to my sister lets check it out. So we went. Desciple blew me away. My favorite band of the night. :D I got to meet them after the concert. Very humble and down to earth people. No securities around them. etc etc. hehe. I only bought one poster for them to autograph. But never one CD. 2010 I found them on Facebook. That's how I found out about their new CD and tour dates. I bought their the CD. I still need to buy their previous ones. The rest is history. Last Saturday I drove two hours just to see them in concert. But it was worth it! Kevin wasn't feeling so good. :| I took my mom and brother in law. Now he is a fan. Yeah!!!

Hi Lisa,
My name is Ruth. I was there!! I was in the very front.

Dirdengirl wrote:Hello my name is Lisa Dirden Im from Bakersfield Ca, I 1st heard disciple while I was searching for a radio station that played my favorite kind of music (metal), I heard Disciple playing and didnt realize it was a christian band. They reminded me of who was my favorite band Skid Row. Well the station turned out to be Air 1, and because Disciple was playing I continued to listen for bands just like them. I am grateful that Disciple was playing when I turned to Air 1, all I listen to now is Air 1 and I am able to worship god through the very music I love.

It was about two months ago when I first heard Disciple and yesterday I got to see them at my church live, Valley Bible Fellowship in bakersfield. of all the bands that played that nite and all the bands ive heard so far, Disciple is still my favorite....

Hi friends. ^_^ i was wondering if there was a place for intros. >.< It felt kinda awkward to respond to anything else before the formal intro. Ha.

Anywhoo, my name is Miki. I grew up in Orange County, CA, and I currently find myself in Portland, OR up to my eyeballs in textbooks and papers. O_o I'm goin to Multnomah Bible College, and I'm in the home stretch! 3 semesters of a very long (not exaggerating) college career.

I think I'm a late bloomer in finding out about Disciple. When I got my first car in 2007, I heard "After the World" playing on the Fish in So Cal. I have a tendency to REALLY get into a band or artist after I've seen them live, so about a year later, I went with my friend to "The Gig" at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs where Esterlyn, Stellar Kart, Disciple, and Kutless performed that night, and I think the message was preached in between them.

And dude, needless to say, I pretty much fell in love with the music and the lyrics. The music ministered to me and continues to do so in my brokenness. Bought some CDs right after, and I'm pretty sure the most played songs on my iTunes come from these albums. >.<

Anywhoo... that's me in a small nutshell. ^^ nice to meet ya.
A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside.
