My name is Byron... I'm from Phoenix, AZ. It's been an unseasonably warm winter this year (not like the rest of the US).
I heard of Disciple back in 2001 when I was downloading music online. Honestly, most of their stuff was too hard for me at the time, but then last summer I was listening to Air One and I heard "Dear X" come on the radio. Sometimes I have to hear songs a few times before I really take a liking to them. Not the case with this one. I immediately loved it and spent some time searching on the web to figure out who was behind it and what it was called. I then located it on Grooveshark and played it for my 10 year old son. He's a drummer, so I thought he might like to learn it. He loved it too! He got it down and we uploaded video of it on youtube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY81yhXjscsWell, needless to say, we got him "Horseshoes and Hand Grenades" for Christmas. He was really excited.
I'm planning on taking my son to the concert on Jan 15th here in Phoenix and I was trying to find out if he could possibly meet the band before or after the show. I know it would really make his year!
Hey Byron, My name is Trent. I'm playing drums for Disciple now. Great video! Glad to see your son has taken interest in our music, and most of all, the best instrument ever

What you're doing for him is awesome, I wouldn't be where I am today if my parents hadn't supported me in my younger years. I know how hard it can be with a drum set in the house, they're not exactly the most quiet and soothing instrument

So I want to let you know that it's great to see other parents supporting their kids. I'll be keeping an eye out for you guys at the Phoenix show. It'll be my first "home" show since i've been playing with Disciple so i'm glad we'll get to share it together. If I don't see you until after we play, come to our merchandise table where we will be signing autographs after we play and I'll have a little present for your son that I think he'll enjoy. If you don't mind me asking, what's your son's name? Thanks for all of your support! Hope to see you in a week and welcome to the boards.
