Well, since you seem so out of the loop, we're going to Kalispell in April to see Red. Then to Nashville in June after school gets out to hang out with your other kids(my brothers). And Creation West...

BTW, that list is just the Disciple shows last year. There were others... I think...

Nashville to see the boys sounds great. Are we going to any shows along the way??? :D

I saw Disciple two days ago perform in California, they were great as always. I really hope to see some of their concerts where they get to play for longer than just a few songs. Also, is Skillet trying to stay away from the west coast?? I tried looking stuff up from them and last time I checked they're not coming anywhere near California.

See if you can catch Disciple this summer sometime, they do a lot of the big Christian festivals. Also, they're about due for a headlining tour...
As for Skillet, they're a bit low on tour dates all around at the moment. They're out on Winterjam for the time being, but as soon as they're done with that, they're going into the studio to record their new album. Playing basically no festivals this summer (I think I might have seen one or two go by, if that).

I think there is a fall "leg" of the Winter Jam tour on the west coast next November-ish; you can probably catch them then! I think the "new" WJ tours start in January...

Lanine and Sarah,

Thanks for the info and I'll keep digging to see what I can find. As for Disciple headlining, that's really what I'd go way out of my way to see.

Hello everybody, I'm new around here. Huge thanks to Lainie and Polish Tom(I think I got the name right... right?) for helping me register! (There were a few difficulties with that.) Anyhow... I'd tell y'all my name and state, but my parents don't really want me to put that info out on the internet (I'm 16, so what they say goes :) ) ... So, yeah, sorry 'bout that. :/

But anyway, moving on to the important stuff. I first heard Disciple on a radio station called Air1. I heard Invisible, Dear X, and Remedy, and they all really touched me, especially Invisible and Dear X. I saw Disciple live in January at the Rock & Worship Roadshow, and have been obsessed since then. :D That's not to say I didn't like them before; I did very much. But now I'm officially obsessed. :D I bought Horseshoes & Handgrenades at the show, and bought Scars Remain, Southern Hospitality, and their self-titled album all within a few weeks afterward.

I feel like this is where I ought to say my favorite songs... but that's a really hard decision! Let's see... prepare for a long list (in no particular order): Invisible, Shot Heard 'Round The World, Dear X, The Ballad Of St. Augustine, Southern Hospitality, , After The World, Liar, Rise Up, Game On, Backstabber, Beautiful, Fight For Love, Whisper So Loud, 321, Whatever Reason, Lay My Burdens, and Savior. There's so many more that I also love, but these are most of my top favorites. :D

Welcome to the boards! Most of us on here are obsessed (I seriously listen to nothing but Disciple, and have kittens on a cloud as my text alert.), so you're not out of the ordinary.

Hehe, yep, I figured I'd probably fit in pretty well. :) Yeah, for about a month after the concert I went to, I listened to Disciple exclusively, every day. I still do, but I've added in a little bit of other stuff here and there, like Thousand Foot Krutch. They actually go pretty well together.

Hey I'm Ruthie, I finally decided to join here....I'm at the Skillet Boards a lot (when there's stuff to talk about, and even when there isn't)

Anyways, Disciple wasn't an instant love for me. I knew a couple songs, loved Dear X intro, but didn't really like any of the songs like I did Skillet. But just a couple months ago, I really listened to Things Left Unsaid as well as After the World, and those two songs...just instantly connected with me, in incredibly deep ways! They are two of my fav songs right now, and Disciple is now one of my favorite artists. I just went to the R&W Roadshow on March 1st, and loved Disciple's show so much, despite a short set....meeting Kevin was awesome, and I got H&H and have not stopped listening to it since! :D

SO you now love Disciple more than Skillet?
I think I am the same way with Skillet....I saw the poster of Uprise 2010 and thought....oh gosh, please not. But the show was pretty good I must admit.
(and Sharpie, no, I did not think so after your rapper/hiphoper was on stage, nor after...that other weird band you like)
